DC-UK - Deep Sea Conservation The deep-waters of the United Kingdom are not featureless expanses of mud. They support an amazing diversity of life, from dense sponge belts, cold-water coral reefs to fields of weird single celled organisms called xenophyophores. The Deep-sea Conservation for the UK (DC-UK) project has been developed to tackle three central elements; biodiversity, management policy and public awareness of the UK's deep-sea environment. Scientific knowledge and information is being collected at an amazing rate but very little is available in a form that can be used by the general public, journalists or policy makers. By tackling this issue, the spotlight will be thrown onto Britain's deep-sea environment and its conservation. http://www.marlin.ac.uk/DC-UK en-uk ", "", $body); $body=str_replace("&", "&", $body); $body=strip_tags($body); $url=strip_tags($row['URL']); //$body=substr($body,0,150); //$dteent=date('r'); $dteent=strtotime($row['dteent']); $dteent=date("r",$dteent); // output to browser ?> <? echo $title?>
