This report, written by a team of researchers from Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada, investigates the impact deep-sea fishing on cold-water corals in the Northwest Atlantic.

Coldwater Corals off Newfoundland and Labrador: Distribution and Fisheries Impacts concludes that three cold-water coral regions off this Canadian province’s coast should be protected from damage by bottom-contact fishing.
